Monday Night Movies Presents...

Another epic open air cinema experience for you to enjoy, but this time in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), with the soundtrack played to you through your own wireless headphones.

Come and relax in the gardens of Fulham Palace and watch the movie that showed us all there really was another way, the fantastic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

There will be a gourmet BBQ and a bar, and before the main event a chance to see a short film about the work of the JDRF.

MondayNightMovies is for everyone (over the age of 14 this time). It's a charity fundraising evening and a chance to simply enjoy some "leisure time" with a movie in an unusual environment with your friends

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The mission of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is simple: to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF is currently funding over thirty major research projects in the UK and we are the leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research worldwide.

With type 1 diabetes, a person's pancreas produces no insulin. It occurs when the body's own defence system (the immune system) attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, although what causes the immune system to do this is not entirely known. People with type 1 diabetes must inject insulin several times every day. About 350,000 people in the UK alone are affected by type 1 diabetes with over 25,000 of them children.

If you cannot make the evening but would like to donate please visit the JDRF justgiving page.
